Louis Cartier granted the wish of his friend, Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to be able to tell the time while flying. Featuring a geometric shape and exposed screws, the watch quickly became one of the Maison's watchmaking icons. This small model Santos-Dumont watch in a steel and 18ct rose gold has a steel beaded crown is set with a blue synthetic cabochon-shaped spinel. The silvered sunray effect dial features roman numerals and blued-steel sword-shaped hands and is completed on a black leather strap.
